SAN ANTONIO — Drivers should expect more construction-related closures on I-35.
Parts of I-35 from FM 3009 to LP 410 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly until the start of the weekend, according to TxDOT. This will include closures of multiple mainlanes along the highway.
This is part of the I-35 NEX Project, which is supposed to alleviate congestion along the busy Texas highway.
A few of the closures including the one on I-35 from FM 3009 to FM 1518 began Sunday.
TDOT says some of the closures will be long-term but didn't specify which particular areas.
