Fatal rollover accident on Highway 151 caused major traffic delays on San Antonio's west side

Officials said it was a two-vehicle accident.

SAN ANTONIO — A major rollover accident down a local highway on the west side caused massive traffic jams Wednesday morning, according to TX Dot. 

Following the incident Highway 151 was closed eastbound, and westbound traffic was only open with one lane along W Military Drive.

Officials said Highway 151 has since been reopened. 

According to SAFD, it was a two-vehicle accident. One person was pronounced dead and another was taken to a local hospital. 

After the accident emergency crews were seen redirecting drivers to the access road. 

No other information was provided.
