SAPD: Man who suffers seizures dead after crashing motorcycle into bridge side wall, landing below

Authorities said the motorcyclist suffers from seizures which could of caused the accident.

SAN ANTONIO — A man who reportedly suffers from seizures is dead after crashing his motorcycle into a the side wall of a bridge on the northwest-side which caused him to go over and land in lanes below.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, the San Antonio Police Department responded to Callaghan Road/ Medical Drive after receiving reports of a motorcycle crash. 

SAPD said the preliminary investigation shows that a man in his late 40's was traveling northwest on the access road and while he was crossing lanes he ran a stop sign traveling at a high-speed. The motorcyclist hit the side wall and went over the flyover, landing in the road below.

According to police, the man suffers from seizures, which could have been the cause of the crash.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
