Overturned cement truck shuts down lanes at Loop 1604 and Highway 281

Crews are on scene working to clean up the accident

SAN ANTONIO — Loop 1604 lanes in both directions at Highway 281 in north San Antonio are closed after a cement truck overturned, causing it to block traffic Thursday afternoon. 

The accident happened shortly before 2 p.m. Crews are on scene working to clear it up, but drivers are encouraged to find a different route. The entrance ramp onto Loop 1604 is also shut down. 

It's unknown as of now what caused the accident.
