SAN ANTONIO — TxDOT has issued a major construction closure for this weekend as part of their Loop 1604 North Expansion Project.
TxDOT has planned the closure of eastbound and westbound mainlanes of Loop 1604 at the I-10 interchange for the weekend of Oct. 25-28. Mainlanes on Interstate 10 will remain open but additional frontage road and ramp closures will take place on Friday and Saturday night.
These closures have been put in place to give crews extra time to work on the construction of the flyover ramps at the interchange.
Closures are currently scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. Friday night to 5 a.m. Monday morning, but all TxDOT construction lane closures are weather permitting and subject to change.
TxDOT also announced that major weekend construction closures will not be scheduled between Thanksgiving through the end of the year: Nov. 27 - Dec. 31.
