SAN ANTONIO — A victim is in critical condition after being hit by a truck crossing the street Friday night, according to police.
At about 6:18 p.m., the victim was crossing the crosswalk at the intersection of SW 24th Street and the 4000 block of West Commerce Street. Police say they were crossing with a no walking sign.
A truck driving eastbound on the 4000 block of West Commerce hit the victim at the intersection, according to police.
The truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition and remains in that condition at last check.
Video footage obtained at the scene showed the truck driving past a green light at the time of the crash, according to police.
This crash remains under investigation.
