COLORADO, USA — The Buc-ee's beaver is getting ready to bundle up for the cold.
The Lake Jackson-based company says they'll be opening a new location in Johnstown, Colorado, which is about 50 miles north of Denver.
A Colorado location signals the first move outside of the South for Buc-ee's.
Between Alabama, Florida and Georgia, Buc-ee's already has over 50 locations, with over 40 in Texas alone.
That's also not including the new locations in Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee set to open later in 2022. The Tennessee location is set to be the world's largest travel stop, surpassing the Buc-ee's location in New Braunfels.

But Texas transplants, have no fear. All your favorites are still coming to the Rockies.
"We are excited to be building our first store in Colorado," Jeff Nadalo told KHOU 11 News. "And we'll be offering our fantastic barbecue, freshly baked goods, unique selection of merchandise and cheap gas to those traveling north of Denver."
Nadalo says construction is expected to begin later this year with the hopes of opening the Johnstown location in 2023.
A location is also planned for Mississippi, but no date has been announced.
Buc-ee's new Colorado location is set to be 74,000 square feet, have 120 fueling stations and of course, their award-winning clean bathrooms.
