HOUSTON — A 110-year-old woman died Tuesday and the medical examiner's office said it was due to the heat.
They said Christine Davis died from hyperthermia because her power went out after Hurricane Beryl moved through the Houston area last week.
She was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital Northeast, where she died.
Davis is the latest in a string of deaths due to the widespread, extended power outages across the area.
At least six other people in Harris County died from hyperthermia in the days following the storm.
