Photos and video from areas in Caribbean affected by Hurricane Beryl

After pounding the Grenadines, St. Vincent's and Barbados as a fierce category 4 storm, Hurricane Beryl slammed into Jamaica as a Category 3.

HOUSTON — Hurricane Beryl continues its track through the Caribbean. As of 1 p.m. Thursday, Hurricane Beryl had weakened to a Category 2 storm with winds at 110 mph.

On Wednesday,  Beryl ripped off roofs in Jamaica, jumbled fishing boats in Barbados and damaged or destroyed 95% of homes on a pair of islands in St. Vincent and the Grenadines before rumbling past the Cayman Islands early Thursday and taking aim at Mexico's Caribbean coast. At least nine people were killed.

Below are some of the scenes from Hurricane Beryl's devastation and destruction. The storm is continuing its path to the west-northwest and most models have it going into the Yucatan Peninsula later this week. It's a storm that the KHOU 11 Weather Team is watching very closely.
