Poteet Strawberry Festival grounds damaged by severe weather Monday

The festival grounds were flooded and many areas were damaged by wind and hail just before noon.

SAN ANTONIO — The Poteet Strawberry Festival Grounds were damaged by the severe storms rolling through San Antonio and surrounding areas Monday. 

The festival grounds located at 9199 TX-16, Poteet, TX was flooded and several parts of the grounds were damaged by wind and hail just before noon. 

Some volunteers were reportedly on the grounds when the storms hit and were forced to hide in the bathroom to avoid the impact.
