Thanksgiving weather outlook: What to expect if you're traveling or staying in SA

The good news: Rain isn't expected to ruin Thanksgiving plans, so long as you're staying in the Alamo City.

SAN ANTONIO — November 2024 has been warm in San Antonio.

Very warm.

We're currently on track for the Alamo City's warmest November since 1927, when the average daily temperature was 69.8 degrees, according to National Weather Service data. So far we haven't been too off the mark, at 68.9 through Sunday, but that figure is far hotter than recent years; the average November temperature in San Antonio hasn't been above 62 for a whole month since 2020.

More seasonal relief is on the way this week for those staying in San Antonio for Thanksgiving, though we could hardly blame you if you were hopping in the car or on a plane for greener, er... cooler pastures. The good news: No need to worry about rain ruining your outdoor Thanksgiving plans in South Texas.
