SAN ANTONIO — Get out the sweaters and warm food, San Antonians: Cold weather is set to hang around this Thanksgiving holiday.
Fall season is upon us, bringing jacket-wearing weather over the next couple of days with parts of the Hill Country possibly dropping into the 30s by Wednesday.
The cold weather doesn't stop for Thanksgiving, either. Another front will move toward San Antonio by the end of next week.
Here's what San Antonians need to know:
Thanksgiving (High 62 and Low 43): As an upper-level cutoff low develops, chances of shower activity will increase. The good news is the rain should be over by the afternoon and San Antonio is not expecting any heavy rainfall.
The entire day will be chilly, so pack a jacket or sweater as morning temperatures will once again start off in the 40s and drop back down into the 40s the evening.
Friday and Saturday: We trend slightly warmer, with temperatures reaching the mid-60s, but lows will still be in the 40s. If you head out shopping for Black Friday, dress in layers. Overall, it will be a beautiful, sunny day.
A cold front is scheduled to come through Saturday night, dropping temperatures to even colder levels than we'll see on Thanksgiving.
Sunday (High 58 and Low 54): A chilly start to the end of the holiday weekend as temperatures stay in the 50s through the day. San Antonians will also have another chance for shower activity on Sunday.
