Severe storms possible Wednesday according to National Weather Service

Thunderstorms, hail, gusts of up to 70 miles per hour and an isolated tornado are possible for large parts of central Texas on April 8.

SAN ANTONIO — According to the National Weather Service, isolated to severe storms are possible for large parts of central Texas on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

They said that unstable atmospheric conditions could allow for thunderstorms with hail larger than two inches in diameter. There could also be wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour, localized flooding, and even the possibility for a tornado.

A release stated that the highest threat is in Austin, San Antonio, and the area in between. They will update the warning on Wednesday morning with the most up-to-date information.
