SAN ANTONIO — Buckle up San Antonio, because a large spread of temperatures is on the way as above average temperatures settle in before a weekend cold front.

From Friday to Saturday San Antonians will see a near 20-degree drop in high temperatures and windy conditions of 25 mph.

Here's what you can expect the next 5 days:

Wednesday (High 63 and Low 43) - Drier air will move in during the afternoon bringing clear and sunny skies. High temperatures will feel much warmer from Tuesday's high temperatures, about 10 degrees higher in the low 60s.

Thursday (High 72 and Low 44) - Stronger ridging will occur allowing temperatures to rise above normal by the afternoon in the low 70s.

Friday (High 73 and Low 46) - Southerly flow will continue to help temperatures stay warm in the low 70s with mostly clear skies. However, a cold front will move in overnight through Saturday morning.

Saturday (High 54 and Low 48) - Colder air will settle in behind the front bringing breezy conditions with wind gusts of 25 mph. This cold front brings temperatures once again below normal with partly cloudy skies. Rainfall is not expected with the front.

Sunday (High 58 and Low 34) - Early morning temperatures could be near freezing with highs once again in the 50s. Overall, the weekend will be pretty chilly.
