On January 12-13, 1985, a strange thing happened in San Antonio. Really strange.
The city was covered by more than a foot of snow, an all-time record.
It is a rare sight to see any snow around San Antonio, and this blanket of white covered everything outside.
San Antonio recorded 13.5 inches of snowfall from the storm.
In this clip from the KENS 5 video vault, residents can be seen throwing snowballs, riding sleds and building snowmen.
