SAN ANTONIO — The KENS 5 Weather Team has called for Weather Impact Alert Days on Friday and Saturday due to above-average temperatures and possible heat advisories in the San Antonio region.

What you need to know:

Upper high is making it hot with highs in the upper 90’s with max heat index values 104° to 108°.

Currently the max heat index values should remain below heat advisory criteria, but with high heat index values of 105° to 109° Saturday, a heat advisory is possible.

Sunday temps will be near 100°, but heat index values should drop to 103° - 104° just below heat advisory criteria.

Should the humidity increase Sunday an Impact day may be required for Sunday.

There could be some heavy downpours on Sunday, but with rain chances at 30%, it’s probably not going to have as big an impact on most.
