40 Years Later: Who was Ira Attebury, the Battle of Flowers Gunman?
Ira Attebury was described as a loner, a retiree who was very reclusive. Police said Attebury had an arsenal of weapons in his trailer parked on Broadway Street the day of the Battle of Flowers Parade. Attebury opened fire on the large crowd, killing two and injuring more than 50 others, before turning the gun on himself.
