Fiesta Best Bets - Monday, April 22: Texas Cavaliers River Parade lights up downtown

Be part of the fun as thousands of San Antonians line the river banks right up close to lighted floats as they wind their way along the River Walk.

Monday, April 22

Texas Cavaliers River Parade

7 - 11 p.m.

San Antonio River Walk, downtown

Be part of the fun as thousands of San Antonians line the river banks right up close to lighted floats as they wind their way along the River Walk.

You'll have a great time if you buy your tickets pre-sale, or get a reservation at one of the restaurants on the river. If you opt to sit along the river, you should know there are no vendors to provide food.

Check with any restrictions at the site where you buy your tickets, but you should be able to bring in a SMALL cooler. We mean REALLY small, because the chairs are packed in tight and close.

There also are places to watch the river parade for free, including some of the bridges over the River Walk throughout the downtown area.

OTHER POPULAR CHOICES:

Fiesta de los Reyes: Market Square, 514 W. Commerce St., 10 a.m. - midnight

Pilgrimage to the Alamo: Alamo Plaza, 4 -5 p.m.

BONUS: The KENS 5 team will be attending the Texas Cavaliers River Parade on Monday night. Look for us to ask for your free KENS 5 Fiesta medal! Limit one per person while supplies last!

FIESTA GUIDE:

Are you brand new to Fiesta? If you've arrived in San Antonio in the past several years, you may never have been to a "normal" Fiesta event. Last year's Fiesta was the first time since April 2019 that Fiesta was held in its normal timeframe due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The KENS 5 Fiesta Guide has all the information you need to get up to speed. Check it out here >>>
