New Braunfels PD: Man from San Antonio charged in deadly Applebee's shooting, fourth person arrested

Marcus Gonzales, 20, was arrested Friday for murder.

SAN ANTONIO — A fourth person has been arrested in connection to the deadly shooting at a New Braunfels restaurant that occurred back in October, according to officials. 

Marcus Gonzales, 20, from San Antonio was arrested Friday for murder. He was booked at the Comal County Jail. He is the fourth person charged with murder in this investigation. 

Other individuals that have been arrested and charged in this case include Justin Xavier, 20, from New Braunfels, Jacob Rowser, 20, from Converse, along with Richard Rosas, 20 who is also from Converse. 

According to official documents, on October 1, 19-year-old Chance Herron and a 20-year-old woman were shot while in a car in the parking lot of an Applebee's restaurant on the 900 block of the I-35 North Frontage Road. 

Herron later died from his injuries. The woman survived and has since been released from the hospital. 

New Braunfels Police say the investigation is ongoing. Once completed the case will be sent to the Comal County District Attorney's Office for review.
