Pleasanton PD asking for public's help identifying reported thief

Police said they attempted to stop the reported vehicle but after driving erratically, it led officers to call off the pursuit

PLEASANTON, Texas — The Pleasanton Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a man they said was involved in a theft of a local auto parts store.

Around 7 p.m. on Nov. 5, officers responded to a local auto parts store after reports of a theft in progress. The suspect left the store before police arrived and they were told the man left in a silver or tan Honda Pilot.

Officers said they saw the reported vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Police said the vehicle did not stop and began driving erratically, leading to officers to end the pursuit.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with several tattoos on his arms and another on his cheek. At the time of the theft, he was reportedly wearing a black Orlando Magic basketball jersey.

"If you recognize the male, please do not post any identifying information on this post as it will be deleted. Instead, contact Detective Gabriel Garza at 830-569-3869 or by email at ggarza@pleasantontx.gov," the Pleasanton Police Department said in a press release.
