Reward increased to find suspects that killed a 4-year-old in May

Crime Stoppers has increased their reward to $10,000.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Crime Stoppers has increased their reward to $10,000 to find the suspect(s) who shot and killed 4-year-old Mary Ann Marble in May.

The shooting happened on May 8 at the 6700 block of Windsor Hollow Drive at about 7:40 p.m. Officials say two men arrived with AK-47-style guns and shot dozens of times into the home.

Investigators said the 4-year-old, her parents and two other siblings were shot at in what authorities believe was a targeted attack. Mary Ann was the only one that didn't survive.

Days later BCSO said off-duty law enforcement officer who was walking his dog on the far west side noticed an abandoned 2018 grey Infiniti Q50 that fit the description of the car the suspects fled the area in on and notified law enforcement.

"We still believe that’s the car…that car is still in our custody," Sheriff Javier Salazar said.

As of August 13, Salazar said they're working with the current evidence but cannot disclose anything else. That's why they need someone to come in with more information.

“I would again remind people whether you come for the reward money or not it’s the right thing to do in the interest of the little girl.”

Meanwhile, Salazar said in May his agency has received tips and executed "several" search warrants as they work to zero in on the suspects, including at a south-side home. While he said he couldn't go into details regarding potential new evidence, Salazar said the case "seems to be picking up steam."

Messages and calls from anonymous tipsters have also helped the investigation, Salazar said, before encouraging those individuals to contact BCSO for follow-up if they think of anything else, no matter how small. Tips can be provided by calling (210) 335-6000 or emailing bcsotips@bexar.org.

"I think we're on the trail," he said. "But I need the tips to continue to come in."

In the last substantial update provided on June 10, BCSO said it was creating a special task force "comprising of multiple units within the sheriff's office to investigate and apprehend those responsible." Asked what the task force entails, a BCSO spokesperson told KENS 5 it involved the agency's covert and intel units, tech personnel who specialize in cybersecurity, and the fugitive apprehension unit focusing their efforts to solve the case.

The sheriff told KENS 5 on Aug 13 the task for still meets once a week to work to locate the gunmen.
