Five things to watch: Spurs versus Pelicans

Can the Spurs snap their 13-game losing streak tonight against the Pelicans without rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama?

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs (3-15) will visit the New Orleans Pelicans (10-9) tonight for their second game of a back-to-back. The Spurs are currently on a 13-game losing skid.

GAME REWIND

The Spurs are coming off a home loss versus the Hawks, 137-135.

Victor Wembanyama had 21 points, two assists, and 12 rebounds to lead the team while Julian Champagnie recorded 15 points. Zach Collins had 11 points and two rebounds in the loss. Jeremy Sochan had 33 points and six assists. Keldon Johnson added 22 points. Devin Vassell recorded 25 points.

“Of course, taking care of the ball in the second half. Attacking their weak spots more. Of course, we gave them 137 points," said Wembanyama. "It’s hard to win when the opposing team scores that much, so we need to step it up on defense.”
