SAN ANTONIO — Las Vegas oddsmakers are busy with 2023-24 NBA prop futures recently projected just how much longer the San Antonio Spurs' current 17-game losing skid will continue.
And it is not looking good for San Antonio.
According to Vegas oddsmakers BetOnline, the Spurs losing streak could hit 22.5 losses before ending.
The good news is that the odds are greater that the Spurs' slide will end before 22.5 at -110 versus continuing at -130.
Also, BetOnline projects the Spurs to stop their losing ways before the Pistons' losing skid (currently at 20 losses in a row) at +100 odds versus Detroit's -140.
The Spurs' recent loss against the Rockets secured the franchise of the longest losing streak in team history.
Following the loss against Houston, forward Keldon Johnson remained optimistic about the team's potential moving ahead in the season.
"It's frustrating. We know that it will turn. We know that we put in the work for it. We believe in each other," he said. "I wouldn't want to do it with any other group than the group we got."
The Spurs' slate does not get any easier.
The team will next host a pair of games versus the Lakers, then will face the Pelicans and visit the Bucks.
