SAN ANTONIO — Las Vegas oddsmakers are busy with 2024 NBA offseason prop futures, and with the regular season complete, many are projecting where Warriors' free agent Chris Paul may land next season.
Several major online sportsbooks are releasing which teams have the best odds for Paul's services next season, and according to BetOnline, the San Antonio Spurs are the No.1 team.
BetOnline has the Spurs with the best odds of landing Paul next season at +200.
The Suns (+500), Clippers (+500), and Lakers (+1000) follow the Spurs.
Paul could fill the Spurs' need for a veteran point guard to pair with Victor Wembanyama. He is an All-Star and a floor general and would be able to impart his NBA knowledge to the young Spurs team.
However, he is past his prime (38) and may want to join a team in the title hunt, considering his time in the league is running out. In his career, he has yet to help push a team to the NBA crown.
The 18-year NBA veteran averaged 9.2 points per game (the lowest of his career), 3.9 rebounds, and 6.8 assists (the second lowest) last season for Golden State and shot 37% from the three-point line.
Following the end of the Warriors' season, Paul made it clear retirement is not on the horizon.
“I’ll talk to my wife and my kids, my family, my support system, see what it looks like. But this isn’t (the end of my career). I know it for sure,” Paul said via The Athletic.
