SAN ANTONIO — One San Antonian hit the jackpot recently thanks to the Spurs Give 50/50 raffle.
Jose Alvaraz and his wife Allegrey had luck on their side when they purchased $40 in raffle tickets on Oct. 25 ahead of the Spurs home season opener just eight minutes after the doors to the arena opened.
And just how much was luck on their side?
According to Spurs Give, they normally bought $20 in tickets in the past but this time they decided to double their odds.
Ultimately, their winning raffle number was called and a $26,091.50 check was presented to them at the Frost Bank Center.
Not bad for the first-time San Antonio Spurs season ticket member.
In case you were wondering, Spurs Give said the jackpot for that night reached $52,183.
But do not fret! You can still join the Spurs Give 50/50 raffle fun at all home games.
Especially after Spurs Give announced guaranteed starting jackpots of $10,000 for three home games on Dec. 13 and Dec. 15 against the Los Angeles Lakers and Dec. 31, against the Boston Celtics.
