SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs' Jeremy Sochan wants the record to reflect that the Silver & Black beat one of the best in the West.
Following the Spurs' big road win over Phoenix Thursday night, he noticed a website posting a video of Suns' Devin Booker talking trash at the starting point guard.
It was a minor moment in the grand scheme of the game, and it motivated Sochan to call out the website for not showing on social media the fact the Spurs beat the Suns.
"They lost, post the rest," Sohan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
San Antonio beat the Suns, 132-121. It marked two straight road wins over Phoenix, with Sochan contributing 14 points, nine assists, and five rebounds in 26 minutes.
"It’s 48 minutes; there’s going to be ups and downs and we’re playing against two really good players and a really good team so they’re going to come back from whatever the score was," Sochan said following the win. "At least we stayed composed and got the win at the end.”
The game also marked a career night for rookie Victor Wembanyama, who finished with a whopping 38 points and 10 rebounds.
Talking trash between players is a part of life in the NBA, but Sochan knows what really matters is the final score.
The lesson here: You don't mess with Sochan!
