SAN ANTONIO — Las Vegas oddsmakers are busy with 2024-25 NBA Draft prop futures and projecting the odds on San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama's chances at recording a rare quadruple-double next season.
According to oddsmaker Oddchecker, Wemby's odds are at +1500 for him to record a quadruple-double.
This projection is surprisingly high, considering Wemby's skill set and ability to dominate the game on both ends of the floor.
Last season, he recorded two triple-doubles and was on the verge of a rare quadruple-double.
On Jan. 10, he recorded 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists against the Pistons, and on Feb. 12, he had 27 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, two steals and 10 blocks against Toronto, where he was close to recording a quadruple-double.
Needless to say, he can accomplish this rare NBA feat, and no one should be surprised if he does it next season. It won't be surprising if it becomes commonplace for him to record a quad-double (or more) in a season as his career progresses and he develops.
If he does, he will join David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Alvin Robertson and Nate Thurmond, who also have a quad-double on their resume.
