KENS 5's Vinnie Vinzetta visits some national treasures

My visit through pictures and video.

SAN ANTONIO — I knew in mid March, after laying my mother to rest, that I was going to need to some in nature to exhale from some real life stuff and the sports life, equally as mentally and emotionally exhausting at times.

So it was that I booked another trip to, in my opinion, one of the most amazing places in the world, Yellowstone National Park. And this summer, the first week of July, I took my niece, Rachel, a young state park ranger in Oklahoma who herself loves the outdoors, just like me.

We were jam packed for only three full days with travel days bookended on either end of that. We were on the go! And did we ever conquer the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem from Yellowstone National Park to Grand Teton National Park to Shoshone National Forest to Gallatin National Forest, all over Montana and Wyoming! Highly recommended!

From our extremely fortunate grizzly bear mother and two cubs encounter from seven feet away (from inside the rental car) to some of the most unbelievable Rocky Mountain peaks in the country, it was off the charts!

I took some of the video clips and still pictures I captured and put together the best of the best with some music for your enjoyment! Hope you love it! And hope you someday get there for yourself! There's nothing quite like America's wide open spaces!
