SAN ANTONIO — A summer-like weather pattern will strengthen and park itself over Texas this weekend into next week. This means temperatures will climb and rain chances diminish.
An upper-level high pressure, known as the 'heat dome', will keep South Texas hot and dry Thursday through next Tuesday.

High temperatures are expected to surpass record high temperatures come Sunday.
Drink plenty of water and apply sunscreen if you plan on spending time outside. The UV Index will remain very high to extreme in South Texas. This means it will not take long for sun damage to occur. Take the necessary precautions to avoid heatstroke or heat-related illness.
Clouds should clear by Thursday leaving us with plenty of sunshine late week.
The 8 to 14-day temperature outlook shows no relief from the heat across Texas. Texas will hang onto well-above-average temperatures beyond the 7-day forecast.
